Illustrators

School started up again, so sorry about dropping out for a week or so. I don’t have much to post this time. In fact, I’m actually posting one of my assignments! We were told to find at least four illustrators (traditional or digital) that we like and explain why we link them. I posted my assignment over on my Tumblr, but decided to post on here as well. These people’s work is pretty darn cool, you should check them out.

Teagan White

Teagan White makes some adorable creature illustrations. I love how she gives a perfect sense of the background with only a few hints. The muted colors she prefers match my own taste in some ways…

Nabhan Abdullatif

Nabhan Abdullatif has many, many amusing illustrations, but he has also made a variety of more detailed work in Adobe Illustrator. Vector paintings he calls them, and I can see why. I love the water-like texture he creates with his images, they have a simplicity and beauty all their own…

Maria Goubar

Maria Goubar has a brilliant skill with color. Every single one of her images is vibrant and active. I know I said I’m one for subdued colors, but I love the happy glow her use of color brings to every image. Her style is like air brushing, but on a higher, more detailed level. I enjoy the glossy feel most of her pictures have, this and the colors make for eye candy.

Jenny Dolfen

Jenny Dolfen is a traditional and digital illustrator. She has this great ability to mimic her traditional style with her digital. I’ve always had a love for watercolor illustrations because of the feel the paper gives and the tones that paint gives. Jenny’s style is subdued and semi-realistic in both color and subject.
